For the Love of Coffee
Thank you so much, Ashley, for sharing your story and your love for coffee and family with us. It doesn’t matter the weather outside or the time of day, I will always enjoy a cup of coffee. And it isn’t just that I need it to function, but I drink it because I love it. My junior year of high school was when I started drinking coffee, and one of the main reasons I did was to be like my mom. Another habit I picked up that year was running in the mornings, also to be like my mom. It was rare to see her without a cup of coffee in her hand, and she had been running 4 days a week for years. Just as I adopted the habits of coffee drinking and running to be like my mother, she picked up the same habits from her father at a young age. She was in fourth grade when my mom began drinking the delicious nectar that is coffee. Coffee is more than just a beverage to my family, it’s a legacy. Coffee is about tradition, comfort, home. At every family occasion, whether it be Christmas, Thanksgiving, reunions, birthdays or just for the fun of it, ours serves coffee. I associate these special family times sitting around in a living room nursing a cup of coffee. I’m sure that my family is not the only one with traditions. As the holiday season approaches and you spend time with your loved ones, remember to value family as well as your own family traditions. And if your family is filled with coffee drinkers like mine is a perfect gift would be some Kingdom Growers coffee. May your coffee pot never be empty!AF
