The coffee in your cup has brought Carlota’s family together.Not long ago, the Honduran woman and her husband struggled for money. The coffee fields she inherited from her father didn’t produce enough to feed the family. So, her husband had to move to another country to find work. She toiled without him, working under the hot sun, to harvest crops and raising their children alone.Everything changed when Carlota joined the Kingdom Growers Cooperative. She learned how to improve the quality of the coffee she grew, and the cooperative helped her sell her product in the United States. Her profits soared, and she began to add more land to her farm.Now, Carlota has company in her coffee fields. Because of the family’s new financial stability, her husband could move back to Honduras.
